Dr. Lee Spencer, PT, DPT, CKTP

As a competitive runner, I had multiple experiences in physical therapy offices and realized that the physical therapy career field was in line with what I was looking for. Wanting to experience a different part of the country, I moved to Maine and earned my doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from the University of New England.
My physical therapy background is primarily in orthopedics with an emphasis in manual therapy. I’ve found the combination of manual techniques with exercise to be highly effective to treat most conditions. I have extensive experience with joint replacements, arthritic joints, repetitive injuries, traumatic musculoskeletal injuries and endurance athletes. In addition to manual therapy, I have advanced training in mechanical diagnosis and treatment (MDT method) as well as kinesiotaping.
In my free time, I still run competitively, racing distances from the 5K to marathon. My wife and I enjoy being outside during all seasons so you’ll also find me hiking, backpacking, snowboarding, skiing, kayaking and cycling.
